The breakdown of expense is included in the chart below which displays which groups or events incurred their respective portion of the overall expense. The EXPO uses an economic multiplier of 2.6 which is the factor used in the 2018 study conducted by Oxford Economic for the Events Industry Council to determine an event’s overall economic impact. This means that for each $1.00 in direct meeting spending an additional $1.60 in indirect and induced expenditures is generated in the nationwide economy.
Therefore, the estimated economic impact of the EXPO was $689,000
The African American Golf Expo & Forum featured in GolfBusiness
“In an industry overly focused on what’s wrong with the game, the inaugural African American Golf EXPO & Forum was a powerful reminder of why a game that began small on the craggy coast of the North Sea 500 years ago is today an international game played by millions — a reminder made particularly poignant by the fact that it comes from a golf community that for the most of that history was not welcomed. A flawed history often overseen by flawed leaders perhaps, but a game sufficiently great to overcome all of that if it will just embrace all who love and want to be a part of it.”
