ABOUT JIM BEATTY GOLF VENTURES

Jim Beatty is a recognized name in the golf world. Jim serves as the Executive Editor of the African American Golfers Digest, and a member of the Editorial Board of the magazine. Jim also serves as Chairman of the Recreational Play subcommittee on the World Golf Foundation’s We Are Golf Diversity Task Force.

Jim serves on the board of directors of the Teddy Rhodes Foundation and has served on the National YMCA board of directors. He has also served on the Omaha Nike Tour Board of Directors and the First Tee of Omaha Board of Directors (Hogan’s Junior Golf Heroes).

  • Jim is a recipient of the National Golf and Jazz Pioneer award sponsored by the Global Golf Institute.
  • Jim has been inducted into the Nebraska Junior Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.
  • He has also been inducted into the Urban League of Nebraska African American Leadership Hall of Fame.
  • Jim has been recognized as one of the top 50 Economic Development consultants in America for his activities and accomplishments in national economic development.
  • Jim is a graduate of Doane University where he received the prestigious Paul Kersenbrock Humanitarian Alumni Award for his extraordinary, unselfish dedication and service to others in his work
